Program Structure:
The Motor Mechanic Training Program is structured to provide a blend of theoretical instruction and practical experience:
Preventative and Scheduled Maintenance: Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficient operation of petrol and diesel vehicles.
Engine and System Overhaul: Gain hands-on experience in dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling vehicle engines and related systems.

Role of a Motor Mechanic:

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting preventative and scheduled maintenance on petrol and diesel vehicles.

Apprenticeship Program
- 6 Months – Workshop-based learning
- 18 Months – On-site practical training
- 6 Months – Final trade test preparation & gap closure
Trade Test Under ARPL (Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning)
- 2 Days – ARPL Assessments
- 3 to 6 Weeks – Trade test preparation
- 2 to 3 Days – Final trade test assessments
Requirements
Must be 19 years or older
3+ years of work experience
Any of the following qualifications: Grade 9, 10, or 12 / N3, N4, N5, N6
