Program Structure
The Welding Training Program is divided into three phases, each combining theoretical instruction with practical workplace training:
Phase 1: Introduction to foundational theory and basic welding techniques.
Phase 2: Advanced welding methods, material handling, and welding safety.
Phase 3: Trade test preparation, including up to 8 weeks of intensive training.
Role of a Welder
Welders are skilled tradespeople responsible for fabricating and joining metal parts using different welding processes. They work in construction, manufacturing, and heavy industries, ensuring strong and durable metal structures. Their role includes:
Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
Operating welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
Inspecting and testing welded components for durability.
Ensuring safety compliance in welding environments.

2 to 3 Days – Final trade test assessments.
Requirements
Must be 19 years or older.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
Any of the following qualifications: Grade 9, 10, or 12 / N3, N4, N5, N6.
